ANESTHESIA AND LASER SURGERY

We are pleased to be one of the first veterinary practices to offer laser surgery specifically for pets. Laser energy seals nerve endings as it moves through tissue; therefore your pet feels LESS PAIN post-operatively. The laser also seals small blood vessels during surgery, which allows us to perform surgery with extraordinary precision. Laser energy does not crush, tear or bruise tissue, thus there is less swelling associated with surgery. Moreover, the laser sterilizes as it removes diseased tissue, killing bacteria that cause infection. Recovery is rapid and there is less post-operative discomfort. The laser has proven to be the best method for declawing cats.

Animal House Veterinary Hospital offers a wide array of surgical services, including routine procedures such as neutering and spaying dogs, cats, rabbits and other pocket pets, in addition to front declawing in cats. We also offer more advanced procedures such as mass removals, entropion repairs, repair of stenotic nares, and many more soft tissue procedures, as well as orthopedic procedures. We also perform LASER NAIL TRIMS under light sedation, which allow for much shorter toenails and can last up to 4-6 months as opposed to a regular nail trim, which rarely lasts more than 2-4 weeks. Animal House Veterinary Hospital uses the safest gas anesthetics available in veterinary medicine and it is comparable to the anesthetics used at a human hospital.

COMPLETE IN HOUSE LABORATORY

Animal House Veterinary Hospital has the newest and most advanced instruments for blood work-hematology, blood chemistries, electrolytes, thyroid testing, monitoring bile acids and cortisol levels. In house blood work allows for immediate results, which, in some cases, may be what can save a patient's life. Further, we are able to institute appropriate therapy immediately for many cases rather than wait for a 1-2 day turn around for outside laboratories. In addition, Animal House Veterinary hospital can test in house for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus (feline aids/fiv), canine parvovirus as well as canine heartworm disease and cursory diagnostics for Lyme disease and Ehrlichiosis. Moreover, with microscopy we can examine pets for intestinal parasites, urinalysis for various conditions of the upper and lower urinary tract and offer cytological evaluation of tumors in addition to ear cytology to more accurately diagnose the source of ear infections in dogs and cats.

RADIOLOGICAL SERVICES

We offer complete radiological services and most radiographs are read in house. We also have access to board certified veterinary radiologists that will travel here to perform advanced ultrasonographic procedures for your pet.

DENTAL SERVICES

We offer complete dental care from our dental exam to a complete prophylaxis utilizing ultrasonic scaling of the teeth, an oscillating polisher and followed with an application of a long lasting dental sealant.

OTHER SERVICES

Animal House Veterinary Hospital also offers aplanation tonometry, which most accurately can diagnose glaucoma and uveitis in pets.

We have noninvasive blood pressure monitoring as well as a complete pharmacy for all of your pet's needs. We also offer AVID microchipping for the convenient permanent identification for your pet.
