Heads or Tails Grooming Salon and Day Spa are located in a little "cottage" next to the veterinary hospital.  Our goal is to provide an excellent groom, while making your pet comfortable.  We start by brushing your pet, and follow up with bathing and then finishing on the grooming table.    

This is a long process and therefore we give your pet frequent rest periods to prevent  them from tiring by standing too long.  We have temperature-controlled dryers to keep your pet warm while drying without the risk of overheating. 
 
We use a high-pressured blower, which gives your pet a treatment similar to "shed x" every time!

Jeannie

Jeanie is our professional groomer.  She has bred, owned and shown Saluki's for thirty years.  She began her career watching professional dog handlers groom dogs for the show ring.  She has been an all breed professional dog and cat groomer for over twenty-five years!   She uses her experience with show dogs and modified it to provide the highest quality grooming available in today's grooming market.  She can make any dog or cat, purebred or mixed breed, appear like they belong in the show ring!  Although Jeanie wants your pet to look its very best, part of her unique talent is that the comfort of your pet is also important.  She only works on her animals for short periods so that they do not have to stand on the table for too long and tire.  She also keeps a handy pocket of treats and her regulars know to expect plenty of love combined with a few snacks!

Sandy

Sandy is our bather/brusher.  She also has experience-preparing dogs for the show ring.  She has been our bather/brusher for five years.  She does not let any dog or cat escape the tub unless they are clean from their nose to their toes!   Although she scrubs everyone clean, she uses a kind, gentle touch from start to finish, just like a spa!

Chrissy

Chrissy has been grooming dogs with Heads or Tails Grooming for many years now, in addition to her prior experience at other salons.  Chrissy's newest exciting news is that she is expecting a baby boy in September 2008! 

Most importantly, we have a veterinarian on staff at all times and can offer medical care in case of any emergency.  Further, having a veterinarian available, we can offer a safe, light sedative that can be reversed, as an option for the pet that is too nervous, which eliminates stress that some feel with bathing and grooming.  In addition to sedation, we can also offer other veterinary care, while your pet is being groomed.  We can also address medical concerns and offer  routine annual exams, vaccines, heartworm tests ...etc., while your pet is being groomed! 

We offer professional grooming at a reasonable price.  Our other goal is to make any pet, mixed breed or purebred, appear ready for the show ring but feel like they've had a "spa" experience!  We also offer routine veterinary care for your pet while your pet is being groomed reducing time you have to travel and stress on you and your pet!

Bev
Beverly Bell, former owner and operator of "Bev's Professional Grooming," is the newest member of the grooming staff at "Heads or Tails Grooming Salon.  Bev is a professional pet stylist that has practiced her art since 1978.  Over thirty years of professional pet styling has allowed Bev to acquire a wealth of experience to provide the perfect groom for every pet that she serves.  Her kindness and patience as well as her attention to detail are reflected in the excellent results rendered to each pet and client, many of whom she has served for over ten years!

 Bev is also the proud mother of six boys (of the human persuasion)!  Her two oldest boys are serving in the United States of America's Armed Services.  Her  next oldest son is living and working in the St. Louis Area.  The final three (and the last two are twins!) are still at home and attending college full time. 

  In addition to being a full time working mother (of six boys nonetheless!), she is also an accomplished artist.  Her favorite subject - DOGS OF COURSE!  I think this resume qualifies Bev for superwoman of the year award!
